Wow, it was V-day a couple of days ago. And for once, I had a reason to get excited about it. Not in the "crap, if I don't get flowers for my girlfriend, I'm screwed" way either. And what uber-romantic thing did we do? We bought each other DVD's. I got her "Demon Knight" and "The Hulk" and she got me "Spirited Away" and "Clash of the Titans" - fuck yeah. And we watched "Demon Knight" and "Clash of the Titans" back to back. I must be love since she had no problems doing that - and I love her for it. Titan's pretty much rocks - I remember having the "giant-sized" comic book adaptation when I was a young 'un. Plus, the late Lawrence Oliver as Zeus! Flying claymation horses, robotic owls, AND lest we not forget - the mighty Kraken. Besides, it has to be a pretty cool movie to be immortalized in song by Clutch (see: "Release the Kraken")...
Watched "Garden State" again last night. Fun film - it's the kind of love story that I can get into. Sure, it's got it's sappy moments, but it was a film that didn't try to be anything more that what it was. I can really appreciate that. Check it out if you haven't yet....
Bought myself the NIN Downward Spiral "Special Edition". Ah yes, the soundtrack for an angsty teenager - great stuff. A musical masterwork as well. Oh Trent, where art thou?..
